Bee ready for a hive of activity with the S+A Honey team! This hands-on experience gives you a close-up look at the amazing lives of bees. From spotting the queen to spinning honey, it’s a buzzing workshop for curious minds of all ages.

What’s Included?

• View a live display hive and try to spot the queen bee (the hive is behind Perspex)
• Examine used frames and feel the texture of real comb
• Learn how a hive works and how bees produce honey through an engaging talk
• Ask all the questions you can to friendly Beekeepers
• Have a go using a hand spinner to see how honey is extracted
• Handle real beekeeping tools and equipment
• Take home your own jar of S+A Honey!

There will be the opportunity to purchase more S+A Honey products as a special gift or a treat for yourself!

Important Information:

• Please allow 90 minutes for this session.
• The workshop is recommended for ages 4+
• Under 2s will not be offered honey for health and safety reasons.
• For the safety of the bees, we need to keep rom temperatures below 20 degrees. Please bring a jumper with you in case you get a bit chilly! 
• Every person attending requires a ticket.
• Guests under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• No food or drink is allowed in the event space.

Join us for a wild adventure with A&S Animal Encounters! Get up close and personal with a range of wonderful creatures, while learning about their natural habitats and how you can play your part in ensuring their preservation.
